Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Sharifa Walker graduated from Meharry Medical College in 2002 — one of the nation's most storied historically Black medical institutions — and went on to complete her general practice residency at Bronx Lebanon Center in 2003.

Over the next two decades, dentistry took her down many rewarding paths — each one deepening her expertise, expanding her perspective, and affirming the single truth that has always guided her: the ability to change someone's life through their smile is the greatest privilege in this profession.

After 20 years, Dr. Walker returned to private practice with a clear vision: to serve the beautiful city of Decatur, Georgia with the kind of personalized, expert dental care that large corporate chains simply cannot replicate. Better Health Dental is that vision made real.
